Oversee planning, implementation and administration of all policies that regulate Home On The Range. Manage and supervise all employees, directly and indirectly. Administer and interpret Home On The Range personnel policies and procedures. Clinical Social Worker; LCSW (licensed clinical social worker), Certified Facilitator with EAGALA (Equine Growth And Learning Association), and Certified in Animal Assisted Social Work through the University of Denver. Laura is part of a three member equine therapeutic team that also includes an equine specialist and horses. The group uses a team approach with the kids at HOTR in a coed group setting, as well as individual and family settings. This team works with the kids to increase their relationship building skills, problem solving skills, independent thinking and communication skills in addition to a plethora of other area of development. The program is very client driven and uses a three prong approach; education, on ground activities, and skill development.

Amanda is the Special Education teacher. She collaborates with the special education team to develop and implement goals, strategies, and a safe learning environment for students. She is dedicated to building relationships with students that struggle emotionally and academically. She takes time to learn their unique personalities and learning styles in order to create and follow individualized goals. It is her desire to help each individual succeed while attending school at Badlands Learning Center.

Summer serves as the Clinical Director at Home on the Range, providing leadership, oversight and supervision for the organization’s therapeutic programs. A Licensed Addiction Counselor, she is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work degree through Grand Canyon University. With over ten years of experience at Home on the Range, Summer has served in a variety of roles, including residential staff, evening charge counselor, aftercare specialist, and Licensed Addiction Counselor. Her diverse experience allows her to effectively support youth and families. In addition to overseeing clinical programming, Summer conducts drug and alcohol assessments, provides substance use education, and offers low-intensity treatment services for youth with identified needs.

Brittany has a Master of Social Work from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, with a family concentration and trauma specialization. While in graduate school, she worked at the St. Louis Crisis Nursery serving as an advocate for children and families in crisis while involved with the family-empowerment program. Brittany also worked at Great Circle Edgewood Children’s Center, a residential and day treatment program. She worked as a therapist at Great Circle conducting both individual and group therapy for children ages 9-12 years old and was trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. At the end of completing her Master of Social Work Graduate Program, she obtained a certificate in animal-assisted therapy, activities and learning through the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, completing a capstone project on integrating incarcerated youth with shelter animals. Following this, she worked as a Juvenile Justice Specialist for the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice for almost two years serving incarcerated youth.

Morgan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has a Master of Social Work from St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO, with a mental health concentration and trauma specialization. During the course of her graduate program, she was trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and worked at the county jail in a drug treatment program providing individual counseling and group therapy. Furthermore, she worked as a social worker in a psychiatric unit providing assessments and resources for individuals. Upon completion of graduate school, Morgan was employed as a Juvenile Justice Specialist for the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice serving incarcerated youth. She is thrilled to be a part of this organization and social work team.

Megan Conklin is a Clinician and Case Manager at Home on the Range, where she provides trauma-informed therapy and case management for adolescents. She earned her Master of Social Work through the Advanced Standing Program at Metropolitan State University of Denver and is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy (ISTT), specialized interventions to address commercial sexual exploitation of children and trafficking, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care. Prior to her current role she has worked in a variety of roles serving youth at Home on the Range gaining over 10 years of experience.

Megan is passionate about helping youth recognize their strengths, heal from trauma, and build confidence for life beyond treatment. She enjoys incorporating mindfulness, somatic therapy, animal-assisted interventions, and creative, individualized approaches to help young people feel safe, supported, and empowered. Her goal is to build genuine relationships with youth while helping them develop the skills they need to thrive in their families and communities.

My name is Sunni. I started my career at Home on The Range when I was 21 years old. I am moving into the Aftercare position after 17 years as a Residential Specialist and a Learning Coach Supervisor at Home On The Range. I have worked in many areas of Home On The Range, from working with the youth in the dorm and our on-campus school, taking youth camping and snowshoeing through our Adventure Therapy program, to working on the farm and the dog kennel helping to train dogs for their fur-ever home. I am also attending college at Grand Canyon University to get my degree in Bachelor of Science in Counseling, with an emphasis on addiction, chemical dependency, and substance abuse. I will finish this degree in February of 2029. I have always enjoyed the work I have done with the kids at Home On The Range. It is truly a privilege to move into this new position to continue to work with youth after they leave.

Mindy has over seven years of experience working with youth and families at Home On The Range, serving in roles including Residential Staff, Overnight Charge Counselor, Learning Coach Supervisor, and now Aftercare Specialist. She focuses on aftercare planning, coordinating services, and supporting residents and their families through the transition from placement to home.

She focuses on staying connected with youth and their families, helping coordinate services, and making sure they have the support they need along the way. Mindy has also led groups such as Independent Living, Becoming Me, and Relationships, helping youth build practical skills and confidence. She values building trust, offering steady guidance, helping residents and families feel prepared for what comes next.
